General Biography


James (Jim) Badger is a marketing, branding and communications executive with experience in several industries, including finance/banking, software, automotive, insurance, manufacturing and biotechnology/agriculture. He is responsible for creating and supporting strong brands at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), DEKALB Genetics Corporation, Bank of Montreal (BMO) and smaller community banks.He is known for tight budget management and low-cost advertising solutions, having managed budgets from $1 million to more than $40 million. Badger joined DEKALB genetics when it was a $250 million capitalized corporation and left that company after it was sold to Fortune 500 Company, Monsanto, for $3.7 billion. He has led teams as large as 40 employees, while managing three agencies and working with cross-functional teams to develop marketing programs to improve sales results and brand equity.Badger is an award-winning writer, director, Webmaster and direct mail manager. As a branding expert, Badger has developed logos, tag lines and style guides for high-tech products and services (biotech, ERP software and interactive video tellers). He also has developed and managed Websites and social media initiatives.Badger and his family live in Zionsville, Indiana, where he volunteers with the Boy Scouts, the Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation, and the USO of Indiana.
